Family Resource and Youth Service Center

Welcome

Welcome to Elliott County's Youth Service's Center Page. The YSC serves Elliott County Middle School grades 6-8 and Elliott County High School grades 9-12. The goal of the YSC is to promote the health and well-being of our students and to eliminate any barriers that may hinder their success throughout school. We are here to help connect students to resources such as: clothing, food, school supplies, hygiene items, parent education, educational support and career and college exploration.

  • For a school to be eligible to apply for a FRYSC, at least 20% or more of the enrolled students in a school(s) must be eligible to receive free and reduced school meals.

  • Funding levels are contingent upon appropriations from the General Assembly. For both new and continuation applications, free school meals data is gathered on students enrolled as of December 1st of each year to determine the allocation for the following school year.

Want to join our Middle School or High School Advisory Council?

Our Middle School and High School Advisory Council is made up of parents, teachers, and community members and is a guiding principle in the development of YSC Programs. The YSC program is community focused and collaborates with other entities in order to more effectively serve the needs of our students and their families.

The council provides a wide base of support, creates two way communication between coordinator and the community, unites the community behind any upcoming events, and promotes organizations and members who serve. The AC meets once every other month September-May.

e-mail samantha.hopson@elliott.kyschools.us or call 738-8379 if you would like to join!
