Dolly Fannin hired as Superintendent of Elliott County Schools

The Elliott County Board of Education announced Mrs. Dolly Fannin as the new Superintendent of Elliott County Schools. The announcement was made during their regular June board meeting on Thursday, June 13.

“I am very thankful for all the encouragement and support from the faculty and staff in our district,” said Fannin. “I will strive to be the best superintendent. I know that we can work as a team to provide the best possible opportunities for our students. My goal is to establish an environment where all parties can flourish. I am proud to be the next Elliott County Superintendent!”

Fannin assumes the role of Superintendent following 29 years of experience in the Elliott County school system, most recently as the Director of Pupil Personnel, Intervention Coordinator, and Gifted and Talented Coordinator. She began her career as an educator and has also served as principal at both Elliott County Middle School and the former Isonville Elementary. Throughout her years of service at Elliott County Schools, Fannin has brought in approximately $2 million in grant funding for various initiatives within the school system.

Fannin begins her role as Superintendent on July 1, 2024.
