ECHS seniors recently visited the Eastern Kentucky Advance Manufacturing Institute (eKAMI) in Paintsville. They toured the facility and talked to students currently enrolled in the program. Beginning in September 2018, the first group of high school seniors will be enrolled. After a year, they will be eligible to exit the program with as many as eight national industry certifications enabling them to be competitive for jobs as machinists at facilities such as Marathon and Lockheed Martin. Many thanks to eKAMI Director, Kathy Walker, and eKAMI Board of Director Member, Warden David Green, for making this FREE opportunity available for two members of the graduating class of 2018!
